They weren't kidding when they called it pothole trail - that actually might be a bit of an understatement:
The views were great and there were some pretty flowers as well:
There is also a sculpture garden right near Taylors Falls that is free to walk around. Wow, there were some really amazing works there!
I most love to view sculpture, here are some of my favorites:
This is called "Reclamation" - I really wish I would have remembered to photograph the artist's name. I think it's amazing this can withstand our weather!

Amazingly enough, it was actually cool inside and the pictures don't do the scene justice.

This is "Evening" by James Payne of Evanston, IL. From afar, it looks like a big hot trailer house. In fact, I could feel the temperature rise just looking at it.
Here is the outside.
This is called "Wake" by Michael McGillis of Royal Oak, MI.

This one I did not get a really good picture of nor did I get the artist's name. However, it's sort of a desolate home camping scene. It was difficult to see inside, the window was at waste level - so pictures were tough to get. I never saw a name or an artist. Not really sure what to think. On so many levels, I love the wrecked tent.
Last, this is "Organization" by Sam Spiczka of Sartell, MN. This to me really is organization, because the asymmetrical piling of decahedron really reminds of working for an "organization."

Here is more on Franconia Sculpture Park.
