So today I went to see "Ice Age 3" with my friend, her dad and her son who just turned three today.
I have to say, I was only going to spend time with my friends, for the movie popcorn and I made her promise to see "Land of the Lost" with me. Apparently no one wants to see "Land of the Lost" with Will Ferrell - some nonsense about bad reviews and a terrible plot. LOL :)
Personally, for me, I don't always need a movie to make me cry, make me think or make me sit on the edge of my seat. Sometimes it's nice to sit and laugh at bad jokes all the while eating popcorn. I do really enjoy Will Ferrell's humor.
"He's incapable of rapid course correction, try running in serpentines!"
I think the reason I like the idea of this movie is because I am a huge Indiana Jones fan, per my dad, who I watched these movies with over and over again when I was little. Partner that with a love for John Candy, Steve Martin and Bill Murray - once again, per my dad - and you have a person who is an audience for "Land of the Lost."
Unfortunately this movie is too scary for Marcus just yet. Which works fine because the maker's of "Ice Age III" tried at adult humor too. I especially loved that the theater was filled with about 50 other kids, there as a group. It was fun to listen to them laugh.
Happy Birthday to Marcus!
